This small folding triptych is intended to reflect a typical altar piece for a small chapel or private worship space. Each of the side panels can be folded inwards. The back of each panel is painted black with red trim.

Using the Greek alphabet, the text in the painting repeats the opening words of the Latin Mass: Kyrie Eleison (in Greek). The interpretation aims to communicate the idea of numerous individual worshipers adding their recitation of the words to the communal coming together of a congregation.
