Your Tongue Is Like A Razor
Acrylic on modular wood panels
36 x 36 inches (T-Shaped)
2014

The text for this T-shaped painting is taken from Psalm 52:5, and reads: ‘Your tongue devises destruction like a sharp razor, working deceitfully’. These nasty-sounding words take on a new poignancy when placed in a contemporary context: the huge amount of profit- motivated residential destruction taking place in Vancouver - which is the expressive objective behind this work.
