This acrylic and oil pastel painting incorporates excerpts from Psalm 7, verse 2, written in the ancient alphabetic system, Phoenician. In English: ‘O Lord my God, in Thee have I taken refuge; save me from all them that pursue me; and deliver me.’ The concept was to portray familiar words in an unfamiliar, and ancient, writing system.
